Colleen Bliss (Taggart)

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: Retired Technology Specialist
Comment: Glacier Bay Alaska with some of the kids - summer 2022.  Rick and I have been married 37 years this summer.  As Janet Muir says "So it took a Rocket Scientist to make you happy!"  Yes indeed Janet.

Most vivid memory of high school:  Remember the double rainbow as we lined up for graduation? Playing the base guitar in the girls band with Jeannie, Claudia, Dori?  OK who else was in that band? and Richard Breinholt my high school sweetheart. . .
Teacher who influenced me the most . . . : Dr. Rippllinger - or was it making the music with the rest of you!
Occupations you have had: Fun ones; Remember the Romantic Motor View Drivein? I sold reheated hamburgers there. A little known fact. Tour boat hostess - Glacier Bay Alaska
Catch us up on your life . . . : I have four sons (two from the first marriage and two from the second) 12 grand children and three \"grand doggers\"and 6 GREAT grandkids. Retired from Canyons District after 30 years. Taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and then became a Technology Specialist and taught teachers how to use their technology.

Jumped into politics - planning commission 8 years, city council 4, Jordan River Parkway Trail, gardening, reading and traveling. Life is good. Hope to see you at the reunion.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .: The smaller the town, the tougher the politics!

Even at 58 it is not too late to get your Masters in Instruction Technology! It just takes a little longer and the 20 somethings will help you out!

Favorite quote: \"Life is precious as it is. All the elements of my happiness are already here. There is no need to run, strive, search or struggle. Just be!\"

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Physician
Comment:
Teacher who influenced me the most . . . : Mrs Sylvester - helped me lose my fear of public speaking, and I haven\'t stopped yacking since.
Occupations you have had: Physician, President of the Society for Innovative Medical Practice Design, President Qliance Medical Group
Catch us up on your life . . . : After high school I spent 4 years getting my bachelors degree at Harvard College. My initial interest was in Philosophy, but I morphed over to Biology in order to complete my premed requirements. I completed medical school at the University of Utah and did an Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Washington. I have been in the private practice of Internal Medicine in Seattle since.

I married Suzanne Wu in 1973. We met in Boston while we were both in college. I have since learned a lot about Asian culture and she has learned about the complexity of being married to an eccentric. We will have celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We have 2 terrific children. They have both graduated from college and are forging independent lives. Michael works as a network/telephone specialist at Microsoft. Erica just completed a 2 year stint in Africa working with Technoserve to establish a Mango industry in Uganda, organizing 17,000 farmers. She has returned to the US to get her MBA at Haas Business School (Berkeley). Neither is married.

In 1997 I started the 2nd monthly fee primary care medical practice in the United States. I have been involved in a national movement to bring some sanity to medicine - using inexpensive market driven solutions. My most recent effort is Qliance Medical Management Group - which I hope will revolutionize the way Primary Medical Care is provided and paid for in this country. We have opened 5 clinics in our first 5 years in the Seattle Area and we have plans to expand nationally.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .: You can\'t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might just get what you need...

Karin Carling (Siggard)

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: retired
Occupations you have had: working at the motor-vu drive-in with a bunch of you - great memories -now I'm a retired middle school teacher
Catch us up on your life . . . : I met my husband Ron on my first day as a college kid at BYU. It was a good thing that I was in pep club because I have been cheering at basketball games ever since. His passion for coaching has taken us all over the world. We lived in Australia for two years and then one year in Hawaii. When the kids were in school, I went back to BYU to finish my degree and I taught school for 11 years. What crazy years those were! It's a good thing I was a lot younger then. Our two boys played basketball for their dad at Alta and then we both retired. Now we split our time between Sandy and Cedar City where Ron coaches at SUU with Roger Reid. We're having a blast. Now, if only we could win!

We have 9 grandkids that keep us busy. I love to travel on Eurail, hike, garden and fix up the house.

Alice Clegg (Wilson)

Marital status: Married
Children: 7
Occupation: Faculty Advisor Dixie State College
Comment: WOW! How fun is this???
I just got a phone call from Chris Cromar.... not sure what her married name is...I forgot to ask!
She gave me the website and details about the reunion and I am going to try and make it for Saturday.
I have "felt" like a Lost Eagle for sometime now so I am glad someone reached out and found me!  Thanks Chris
Teacher who influenced me the most . . . : Dr. Ripplinger...I will never forget his motto above the chalk board "True Discipline is the Ordering of the Self, By the Self" What a wonderful difference he made in my life!
Occupations you have had: Mother for 22 years, then office manager and CFO for retail chain, for 6. The past 5 I have been at Dixie State College as Department Secretary, Adjunct Instructor, and now I am a Faculty Advisor
Catch us up on your life . . . : It all began... oh wait.

I am one of the rare eagles that flew south for college. I spent 3 years at BYU and then served an LDS mission to Uruguay/Paraguay 1971-1973. I returned to BYU and graduated in April 1974. I met my husband during that last semester and we were married in Nov 1974.

In 1978, with 2 kids, I returned to BYU part time to earn a Master's degree in Health Education (I received my degree when I was 6 months pregnant with my 4th child)

I have 7 wonderful children - 3 daughters and 4 sons.

I have only 1 granddaughter so far.... but anticipate more. I still have 3 kids living at home!! EEK!!

I spent 22 years as a stay at home mom while working with nutritional companies on the side. In 1976, my sister and I co-authored a health handbook entitled "Herbally Yours".

After living in Provo for 15 years, my husband and I moved our family to Hurricane... down by St. George or Zion National Park. In 1994 I designed the blueprints for my "dream home" and had it built.

My children are mostly close... one son and daughter in law in Las Vegas...a quick 2 hour trip, and a daughter and son in law in Layton a long 4.5 hour trip.

My life has been full with family, church and work.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .: ... that everyone in high school sees themselves the same way!

... that no matter how bad life seems at times....there is always someone that has it worse.

... that you shouldn't waste energy stressing over things you cannot change.

... to laugh instead of cry, to smile instead of scowl, and to Trust a Higher Power more than myself.

Marital status: Single again

Sharon Cowley (Green)

Marital status: Married
Children: 5
Occupation: Retired Banker
Comment:   It is so hard to believe 40 years have gone by since graduation.  I will be unable to attend the reunion as my husband and I will be out of town that week.   Those of you responsible for this reunion, web site, etc have done a really great job!

Teacher who influenced me the most . . . : Mr. Wilson
Occupations you have had: Accounting clerk and Banker
Catch us up on your life . . . : I have been happily married for 27 years to a wonderful man Don Cowley. When I married Don I got a ready made family of 5 children. We now have 5 grandsons, 1 great grandson and a great granddaughter.

I retired 3 years ago from Wells Fargo Bank after 33 years. I worked in the Private Banking department as the Utah Operations Manager and also managed clients of my own. Since my husband is also retired we have been traveling all over, doing all the things we want to do. We spend our winters in Mesquite, Nevada away from the cold and snow.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .: I should have focused on my education more in school. Family, friends and good health are most important! Life really is short! I try to do something "fun" everyday.

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: Marriage, Family and Child Therpist
Comment: I couldn't get enough of school, so I went on to get masters degrees in american literature, social work and marriage and family therapy. I married a gentle soft spoken artist who left his beloved south to set up home with me in the mountains that I love here in utah. We have 4 children. 1 daughter, Sarah, who is married and has given us four grandchildren whom we adore; actually we are simply besotted. We have 3 sons, Andrew 16, Jonathan 13 and Joseph 11. We all survived my stage 3 breast cancer with the wonders of surgery, chemo, radiation and prayer. Between my part time private practice, soccer games, violin concerts, gardening and taking apart pop up books to understand the engineering to make my own, I know how blessed I am to have come to this place in my life 40 years from Skyline graduation. Here I am with my 16 year old son who will graduate next year and then be counting to his reunions.
